i have weirdest problem. i have created site client , have added link top menu bar (so there 5 links), however, when go top menu bar in menu manager, doesn't show link they've added. when click on menu manager, lists menus, shows has 5 published menu items, when click on menu items, again shows 4 items. when go module manager , click on module, in menu assignment, can see menu called top menu 1 missing link listed underneath. seems may have created new menu called top menu, instead of adding link current menu can't seem access through menu manager. can please help? since can not see - suggest deleting 'extra' 1 , adding original. check there not 2 modules - may have copied module. i upgraded to  mac pro , have installed second internal sata drive (purchased direct apple) in bay 2.  it's large drive , plan copy photos long term strategy (at current rate, take several years fill it). i've installed , formatted drive.  however, when start lightroom, not see listed on left.   how lightroom recognize drive?   thanks! lr not see disk drives unless there images within catalog stored on it. if want show import single image drive. i using lightroom 3.0.  workflow raw files involves conversion dng preset applied , additional development enhance image.  use several external viewers, e.g. ifranview & thumbsplus, review these edited images.  unfortunately, previews not reflect recent lightroom changes in preview thumbnail, though have "automatically write changes xmp."  have manually update dng preview within lightroom each time before exit program.  seems inefficient, , i'd know if has figured out way automate task.  thanks! no automatic way , no easy way. way update preview have discovered - update dng previews , metadata . creates new dng file complete new preview, embedded jpeg. thank reading this installed ubuntu wubi. had fine install 10.04 desktop 32bit. since unable see boot screen, kept loading windows so. switched autoboot option on windows in (controlpanel/system/advancedsystemoptions/boot) , swiched ubuntu. ubutntu works fine on external monitor. after second session,, installed restricted driver (nvidia) , installed updates needed. reboot. next thing, ubuntu won't show on external monitor. know it's plugged in correctly, swell using fn button. i'm getting paranoid because, unable see boot menu, cannot tell if i'm pressing right buttons windows , ubuntu. cannot tell happens if press f8 or esc. need can tell me buttons press can go rescue mode. or atleast windows , reinstall ubuntu. after updated acrobat 8.2.3 (no other changes in computer software), ocr recognition occassionally stops error reports paper capture service not accessible/available.  not fatal error because ocr can continue in document page not processed.  error appears occur after decomposing , before recognizing text.  problem did not happen 8.2.2.  have 2 computers 8.2.3 , happens on both computers.  happy downgrade 8.2.2 until adobe fixes problem apparently adobe not allow removing 8.2.3 update.   i tried opening .pdf directly adobe open menu had suggested in forum, problem persists.   i use ocr capability daily on large (>100 page) files need @ least temporary solution right away.  suggestions? i make 3 "websites" in 1 joomla installation. index.php consists of 3 buttons can make choice 1 of 3 websites. 3 sites have main menu (situated in menu position). problem having following: every menu has got own specific menu items. there menu items shared between multiple (main)menus , causing problem. example: website a: menu consists of locations, courses , contact information website b: menu consists of locations, ratings , contact information the locations , contact information in example above same. when click on locations in website a, in menu of website b! in short: menus being mixed up, because of article sharing! ofcourse can copy articles , assign them different menus avoid problem, not convenient! there solution this? using cs4 on mac 10.5   i provided black-and-white ai image white fills, need whites transparent, opened ai image in ps (rasterizing). deleted white fills, filled black areas 40,40,40,100 , saved .psd. placed file in id , prints gray. id file cmyk, , printed on color laser printer. i've both "exported" file out of id, , printed pdf file. same result.   here of options i've tried: rasterize .ai, .eps , .pdf file in ps (all created ai) rasterize @ 300, 600 , 1200 dpi change mode bitmap change mode greyscale save ps file .psd save ps file .eps, chose "transparent whites" (this first choice, image, when placed id, prints grayed out box big x, though, in id's print dialog box, graphics in "output" set "all") save ps file .pdf (figured, heck!)   i made new "black" in id values of 40,40,40,100, , print black, except silly image!   is there way this? white fills in original ai file there cover black parts, can't eliminate them i

using windows 7.   i installed lr 3 , imported card first time.  first time didn't go good.   i intended import 1 of hd's on computer , @ same time external backup drive.  reason when files went backup did not go in organized way intended , ended in best called %^%#^^ jumble.   i went explorer , organized imported images proper hierarchical folders on backup drive.  want organized non jumble replace jumble shows in lr.   is possible dump entire catalogue backup hd , replace organized one?  if how?  , if not, best mthod sccomplish this?   many thanks well, 1 thing might ask self... how did ... jumble?  if don't figure out how , why, you'll end new jumble every time import images, , that's no fun.   but backup, sure.  delete old files , copy across new one.  use "mirrorfolder" automatically, can like.  make sure copy top-level folder of catalog, , should fine.   whoops! missed step!  misread post, , thought had sorted in lr, not explorer.  okay, 1 more ste

uninstalled , reinstalled latest version. used program list on xp home s3 start menu doesn't display adobe logo , neither adobe reader 9 shortcut on programs. pdf shortcuts display properly.   tried search knowledge base , found no relevant articles. can't believe have buy support adobe products.     thanks you can use properties | change icon adjust icons on shortcuts.  unfortunately has done on each shortcut itself; not adjust of them automatically. i have installed cs5 design premium on mac pro @ work. (had installed education demo, turns out school doesn't fit adobe's critereon eligibility - , doesn't take after telling that) although have qualified years, , education people in 14 countries are top school in world on our subject. no biggie, upgrade's $50 more napp discount.   but @ home installed fine on mac pro , works great. @ work, cs4 works flawlessly, can't run image processor bridge, or import photos photoshop layers, photomerge, not hdr pro.   before settings wouldn't stick in image processor, , fixed issue changing permissions on photoshop settings folder in user account. settings stick image processor, when tell process set of images, keeps coming dialog saying "sorry, not process following files..." , gives list of each file it's path.   i'm wondering if javascrpits running process broken, or have permission problems. (image processor, hdr pro, etc.)   if in bridge, seelct tool

i have updated lucid after upgrade gnome panels display empty (no menus, apps, etc.) , extend lhs of screen around three-quarters of screen. happen both top , bottom panels. if right click on panels, select "properties" , toggle "expand" checkbox (initially on), panels revert should be. no further problems until log off. when log in again, panels blank/three-quarter width. guessing gnome/x11 config file either corrupted or incompatible. i have adobe reader 9 , adobe acrobat 8 installed on computer.   when try open pdf has font size of 5 or smaller doesnt matter font cut half of text off in adobe reader 9.  seems problem adobe reader 9 cause have multiple computers here @ office running adobe reader 9 , cannot see of there text if font size 5 or smaller.   when open exact same pdf in adobe acrobat 8 renders font size 5 text.   is there font library or pack can download solve problem adobe reader 9. the reason ask because have clients using adobe reader 9 need able see these pdf's.   any appreciated.   thanks, adam nowlin More discussions in Acrobat Reader adobe
