installed ubuntu wubi.
had fine install 10.04 desktop 32bit.
since unable see boot screen, kept loading windows
so. switched autoboot option on windows in (controlpanel/system/advancedsystemoptions/boot) , swiched ubuntu.
ubutntu works fine on external monitor.
after second session,, installed restricted driver (nvidia) , installed updates needed.
reboot. next thing, ubuntu won't show on external monitor. know it's plugged in correctly, swell using fn button.
i'm getting paranoid because, unable see boot menu, cannot tell if i'm pressing right buttons windows , ubuntu.
cannot tell happens if press f8 or esc.

need can tell me buttons press can go rescue mode. or atleast windows , reinstall ubuntu. (i'd prefer rescue mode) (fyi, i'm on iphone @ moment.)

can hear boot sound when ubuntu loads.

try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927391 rebuild bcd store.

never default wubi ubuntu install windows boot manager without timeout. if wubi root.disk corrupts or have problems encountered, you're stuck.

if think grub menu, can't see it, press down arrow repeatedly , enter.. windows boot option should @ or near bottom of menu

ps if working , want reinstall, can retrieve data wubi install (from root.disk). before uninstalling or erased.
