hi, i've been having error on month now. when boot ubuntu 10.04 code: udevd-work[304] open /dev/null failed: no such file or directory , stops 30s. i've check dir exists , readable-writeable (chmod 666). few days ago had problem sound - there wasn't any, , couldn't restart laptop. after rebooting hard way (holding power button) fine. i've posted same issue on polish ubuntu forum month ago. either nobody knows what's going on, or i've posted in wrong section. anyway, please help. cheers, dawid please? i'm not sure if installation should post this, it's close i've got. i migrated 1.0 site 1.5.14 on own hosting account (server#1). prevent being indexed while worked on it, password protected folder through cpanel. once new site completed, downloaded migration, , uploaded onto client's hosting account (server#2). realizing had forgotten remove password protection before uploaded, removed code .htaccess file. when go front end of (new, moved) website, works fine. when go backend, can login. when administrator menu/layout, password prompt comes (10 times) , once click "cancel" can in , work on site. if remove password protection on server#1, password prompt disappears on server#2. if re-apply password protection on server#1, password prompt re-appears on server#2. i have tried removing password protection, downloading new .htaccess file, , uploading it, appears calling server#1 , can't figure out is. i did go through configuration.php , changed paths serv...

my work flow takes .dng files camera card folder called <to sorted> choose ones keep , discard. i move chosen .dng files <awaiting processing> prepare them uploading agency in .jpg form expoting them <not yet submitted>. on submission move files <awaiting approval> , on approval agency move them <on sale>.   the original .dng files chosen moved <raw library>   i feeling physically moving files folder folder not sit lr3 , since have limited experience of full capabilities of program, there better way of organising work.   i adding images, have images @ every stage (ie in every folder) of flow. idea can see @ glance images in flow , if there imbalances in flow.   any ideas improvement or creative thoughts - or criticism of method? gratefully received. i'd make custom label set containing each of names , label originals corresponding labels. hey guys, weather we're having here on internet. i've been going , forth premier , after effects mfx files captured. workflow @ least cumbersome. . edited video . sort clips in project window times used. . right click reveal in bridge . import mfx file after effects. create new comps each file , color correct & or add effects . import comps media encoder batch export p2 movies , rename output files match original mxf files, place in folder titled      'corrected'. . make original mxf files offline , link correct ones(the .mxf files not named applied in output file field makes linking a   pain).   i'm pretty sure there must better way, video 4mins long added effects why didn't import enter sequence ae. btw i'm more used 'color' workflow in final cut studio. i'm afraid unless start working in premiere pro can make use of dynamic link there no better way. might of course consider doing work in intermediate codec prores begin @ least skip conve...

hi i bought imac, installed old version of lightroom , downloaded 30 day trial of latest version.  trying upload web gallery of photographs website using lightroom 3, cannot receive message saying "an error occurred sending file : response not received in time".  can, however, old pc there no fault connection or knowledge of how load gallery using lightroom (i have been doing procedure 2 years , have never experienced problem).  if load 1 photograph works, not 8 photographs.  average gallery ranges between 200 , 300 photographs. as work around exported gallery desktop , uploaded via ftp.  not full size photographs show however, thumbnails show , instead of large image small black square appears.  happened 7 out of 200 photographs , noticed during process many photographs timed out.  i've repeated process several times , found same thing happened, not same photographs, can't photographs themselves.  when examine files have loaded images appear bi...

i'm running photoshop cs-5 on mac pro (2x2.66 dual core intel), snow leopard.  have updated 12.0.1.  program installed in 64-bit, use particular plug-in, switched 32-bit through info.   now can't switch 64-bit.  highlight photoshop cs5 under applications, pull info panel under file, in general section of info, don't have option of switching 64-bit.  there 2 boxes in section, 1 called "shared folder" , other called "locked," grayed out.  i'm not operating on network.  under "sharing , permissions," says: "you have custom access."  system, admin, , in box below grayed out.   any suggestions on how can switch program running in 64 bit?  sounds trying edit alias , not application itself. go application folder , info on app. More discussions in Photoshop Macintosh (read only) adobe

have bought new canon sureshot s95 after contacting adobe support told lightroom 3 not support raw files canon sureshot s95.   come on adobe.....please provide update asap. as adobe , other companies have play catch cameras after sold, there delay. blame canon et al fault unnecessarily changing raw file parameters on every single model release. sometimes file name change, quite pointless when open dng format exists.
