Please send me exiftool output for your camera (xml format).

i writing metadata plugin incorporates @ least of metadata raw files adobe "missed" - metadata displayed in right-hand panel in library module, , available library filtering , smart collections.

some examples of non-camera-specific metadata:

     - exposure compensation/bias

     - flash setup

     - bits per sample (e.g. 12 or 14).

some examples of nikon(d300)-specific metadata:

     - active d-lighting

     - focus distance

     - hyperfocal distance.

     - depth of field

     - vr setting.

i going make configurable users can select metadata want - keep lean. selection include elimination of metadata present cameras not own.

i offering plugin free of charge, need information.

for of inclined, here's how:

1. windows: download phil harvey's exiftool(-k).exe , rename exiftool.exe.

1. mac: download .dmg file instead , install.

2. execute exiftool -x {some-raw-file} > {cameramfr-cameramodel}.exif.xml in command shell / terminal window.

3. send me xml file - anyway can - 1 way: http://www.robcole.com/rob/contactme - , send attachment using emailer.

make sure can figure out camera company , camera model information corresponds to.

thanks,

rob

ok - new plan (b):

i've decided i'd rather not have job myself of dealing each camera model front. instead, re-write software (plugin) automatically incorporate new camera models database encountered.

thank sending enough information make me realize chore maintain metadata cameras myself.

i'll keep ya posted - or surprise buggy release ;-}

so, no more raws / exiftool output please! - thanks!!

rob
