hi,   i have problems flattening layers. i'll show simplified 2 layers.you can download psd-file(22mb) here: http://www.creativ-fotografie.de/files/flatten_layer_prob.psd . one layer nice , soft vignetting (darkening corners) in blend mode "vivid light". the other layer lots of blue ones , zeros on black background representing binary code. when flattening image, vignetting disappears partly , have sharp circular shape. similar effects happen different blend modes. seems me effect appears complex structures , high resolutions. i realized problem, when save image jpeg.   any ideas? martin i experimented psd file , can't different result.  don't know why merging/flattening causes gradient effect go away.  here workaround, applying gradient directly onto layer 3:   juergen More discussions in Photoshop Elements adobe

i'm running win xp sp3 on pretty decent system. every often, fw cs5 crash without warning. there seems no pattern crashes. can using select tool, applying filter, or choosing tool palette. system pauses second, , fireworks disappears. no error message. nothing.   i save pretty often, since fw doesn't auto-backups, lose few minutes of work if haven't saved recently. since upgrading cs5 i've lost 5-10 hours of work total. 10 minutes here , there adds up. know. whaaa. fault not saving every time perform action. or it? saving large file every 30 seconds can time-consuming, , disrupts workflow. illustrator doesn't this, , indesign doesn't it. my site done have couple of problems have no idea how fix before can finish it. whenever pull url site, has word news right above pulling url in adddress bar. news set default when created front page of site if remove 'news' default gives me error message. the other problem have found when type name of site along .com after it, pulls name correct url words chat room follow name of site , have no idea how got attached don't know how remove , shouldn't www gone when site goes online or stay there. first site doing on own want make sure have worked out before goes online Board index Joomla!
