Thread: Flash draining memory

hi guys

ok here goes

im prtty newbie here , ubuntu. have 2 problems neither of can ifind resolution to.

1) cant follow links email (evolution) error message is:

failed execute child process "/usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser" (no such file or directory)

more importantly have issue flash - see not alone cant find same issue, namely if run example person.com or youtube etc more cams or videos open slower gets - point comp whirring away , memory used crashing firefox.

can rectify closing firefox windows , going system monitor , ending following processes

firefox-bin
plugin container

seems more flash requests make loads these items doesnt close them when close flash windows creating massive memory drain

no idea how move forward - ideas?

ps ubuntu 10.04 , latest flash plugin downloaded per ubuntu instructions

unfortunately, nature of beast. flash uses cpu in linux.

can try few things flash optimization. make sure have latest flash version adobe , not gnash or swfdec.

flash-aid, extension remove conflicting flash plugins , install proper version according browser architecture.

youtube recommend extension flashvideoreplacer.

both developed me.
