Ruler Calibration
hello. i'm realatively new ps user using ps cs5 extended , have question cannot seem find clear answer to. i'm running ps on late 2008 15.4" mbp screen resolution of 1440x900. how can calibrate rulers in ps (and other cs5 apps) equal real life scale. in other words, if ruler says 5 inches in particular document can safely know 5 inches when printed.
any appreciated. thank you,
aj

if want exact displaying print size:
open new 500 pixel x 500 pixel file in photoshop, , set 100% (view actual pixels) if not come way.
get out ruler , measure image on screen in inches.
divide 500 measurement.
this resolution of screen.
determining factor essential if want photoshop's "print size" give wysiwyg representation on screen.
enter figure in photoshop > preferences > units , rulers > new document preset resolution: > screen resolution.
