it's been more 4 years since joomla 1.0. upcoming joomla 1.6 looks great project moves slowly. love affair over.

how speed #joomla project up?

hi mate. not dig @ or team. you're 1 of committed open source devs around feels long between drinks. 0.6 upgrade in 4 years doesn't scream progress though under hood there's been major developments. it's hard me sell joomla bigger clients. sorry verbal blurt.

no offense taken makes hard sell bigger clients (and how big talking)?

cool mate. state government. pushed couple of joomla sites out vic gov agencies go bigger needed more oompf. new access features, etc great , necessary enterprise projects we're still coming bit short. worry leaving client w/what *appears* stale app... hate compare drupal (apple/orange), it's easier sell.

qld state gov't loves #joomla - talk me next time
it's not stale. 1.5 actively maintained major ext'ns in community. need change way sell

you've got distinct advantages pitching qld gov. 1. you're andrew eddie - mitigates risk of implementing joomla. 2. work there - mitigates risk. of without advantages, need #joomla sell little harder.
marketing , open source traditionally don't play together. it's interesting puzzle - 1 i've not solved.

why don't start why customers think it's "stale"? or put way, expectations "fresh"? expectations realistic?
