think running lts, laptops right? anyways, wondering advantages of running desktop version considering on desktop. whats difference? , there way can install desktop version while still keeping files in tact, desktop configuration?

lts stands long term support every couple years release version provide longer support , more stable normal 6 month releases have latest , greatest bells , whistles may have more bugs. current version 10.04 latest stable release. if have normal gui desktop not blinking courser on desktop version.

my first slide show works. i upgraded joomla 1.5.14. created new slide show, no images shown. i checked firebug , found images should go http://mywebsite.com/components/com_gk2 ... es/thumbm/ directory. however images go /components/com_gk2_photoslide/images/ directory. catalog permission says followings. 1. images/ unwritable 2 images/thumbm/ unwritable 3 images/thumbs/ unwritable 4 configuration/ unwritable 5 configuration/plugins/ unwritable 6 configuration/extensions/ unwritable i checked chomd ftp , 755. could tell me how fix please? thanks in advance. you'll have better luck on developers website, bug component , there 2 or 3 different reasons. seem remember 1 thing make sure php extension enabled on server. fixed problem hacking php files months ago have assumed had fixed bug. dm Board index Joomla!
