Need to know if first time through template - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i modifying index.php in custom template , need know if first time through of current session. want x on first time y remaining times home page (index.php) code.
i tried follow php code when joomla session fires , there seems opportunity figure out session's status not figure out tell me if session has started , first time template home page.
i think initialize global variable @ front of joomla code check value in template index.php see if initial value x , alter value for future checks.
hopefully folks have more elegant approach.
