hp pavilion dv7 freezing / black screen - help!! excuse noobishness,
have hp pavilion dv7-4060us (specs below) keeps freezing @ least once day. screen on black/blank, keyboard combinations ctrl-alt-backspace not work. have had hard shut down every time happens. switched linux , love it, don't know if can keep continues. please help!! i'd keep using ubuntu. response. - shiloh09 noob

allow me congratulate buying nice laptop. i've spent last week reading reviews , checking , compairing specs other laptops.

of specs accurate except one. let me first inform laptop has 2 video card setups. 1 know ati mobility radeon 5650. laptop has less powerfull intergraded card called ati mobility radeon 4250. default laptop run 4250 power saving modes switch 5650 gaming. believe linux i'd getting confused on card use. it's switching 4250.

feature designed run on windows 7. more linux drivers not support ability switch cards. seems it's trying though.
