Competition site with voting - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi fellow joomlaites,

i have been trawling through web in search of extension fnish off competiin website trying develop. have stumbled accross 1 slike artistavenue died while ago musicbox, mjoosic, , various rating extensions. jamroom looks work i'm looking joomla solution.

basically requirements are:
- contestants profiles - possibility of different types ofcontestants, including ability vote others not themselves. including current number of votes , vote button.
- ability search profilesin each category or overall.
- voters profiles - people aren't participating voting winner
- voting must based on number of votes , not rating, ie. 189 votes rather 4\5 rating
- ability publish top 5 or 10 voted contestants on front page of relative category vote button.
- ability charge or not charge votes, either using credit card or paypal can doneusing shopping cart.

some of functionality above available in cb , jommla 1.5 haven't come across handles voting way like.

any , input welcom , forward working willing participate. doing on own , remember helped, can't afford costs @ moment!

my first slide show works. i upgraded joomla 1.5.14. created new slide show, no images shown. i checked firebug , found images should go http://mywebsite.com/components/com_gk2 ... es/thumbm/ directory. however images go /components/com_gk2_photoslide/images/ directory. catalog permission says followings. 1. images/ unwritable 2 images/thumbm/ unwritable 3 images/thumbs/ unwritable 4 configuration/ unwritable 5 configuration/plugins/ unwritable 6 configuration/extensions/ unwritable i checked chomd ftp , 755. could tell me how fix please? thanks in advance. you'll have better luck on developers website, bug component , there 2 or 3 different reasons. seem remember 1 thing make sure php extension enabled on server. fixed problem hacking php files months ago have assumed had fixed bug. dm Board index Joomla! hej, problemet jeg har installeret phoca guestbook og det virker næsten. hvergang en registreret bruger har skrevet gæstebogen og trykker på send, så bliver brugeren logget af. så skal man logge på igen og kan konstatere @ indlægget er sendt og står pænt gæstebogen. hvordan forhindrer jeg joomla! og phoca guestbook @ smide brugeren af? lidt mere om opsætningen for @ skrive gæstebogen, så skal brugeren være registreret. derfor har jeg lavet et menupunkt, som kun kommer frem, når brugeren er registreret. og når man logger ind så åbner joomla! gæstebog-siden. jeg har indstillet gæstebog-siden til @ være registrerede brugere og menupunktet er sat op til de samme brugere. jeg håber @ nogle kan hjæpe. -- jan rou hej igen, og lige en detalje mere, der kan have betydning: .htaccess er aktiveret. -- jan rou Board index Joomla!
