Thread: Open ogg file with VLC tries to open text files

i hitting bizarre error, , i'd please.

nautilus (or desktop), if open ogg file vlc, tries open other text files.

specifically, find if there text file in same directory containing ogg file's name, vlc tries open it.

example explain:

• in directory, have file aq.ogg.
• i double-click (or use right-click) open file vlc.
• vlc correctly opens aq.ogg, but...
• vlc tries open files asyo uaqs req.txt, youaqeep.txt , youaqop.txt. notice these files contain aq in names, name of ogg file.
• vlc gives error messages shown in screenshot attached.

vlc ignores files don't have extension .txt, , files don't have ogg file name within it. (i've experimented different names , same thing.)

bug must report? same results?

i have seen similar vlc , mpg files. recall edited movie clip using kino , created index file same name mpg file. when opening mpg using vlc did play file came odd error message presence of index file of same name idx suffix. have no idea why vlc that. rename or move text file suppose.
