Thread: Gameguard error 114 in Virtualbox with XP guest

i running non-free version of virtualbox in kubuntu 10.04, , installed game ijji called gunz used play 4 years ago.
game installs fine, when run it, gameguard (the anti-cheating software) freezes machine while , throws error 114.

tried disabling windows firewall in case problem, didn't work.

have virtualbox guest additions installed direct3d support enabled, , dxconfig's directx 8 , 9 tests work, d3d8.dll , d3d9.dll old versions , should reinstall directx.
have tried reinstalling using microsoft's installer, no good. not know if problem related, may because gunz uses directx.

can help?

    It's possible the Guest Additions from Virtual Box are coliding with Game Guard. Try without installing them
