ever since made switch ubuntu have had problem getting x windows environment virtual terminals. control+alt+f1~6 work fine when try control+alt+f7 screen freezes. have been trying find solution problem doesn't seem affecting many other users. appreciated. not sure if matters, i'm running 64-bit lucid lynx. any suggestions on should answer? not sure type of problem is. i have closed compound path , open one. i've placed 2 endpoints of open path on top of 2 adjacent anchors of closed path, have edge overlapping. how can force illustrator join them? what mean "join them"? correctly speaking, join paths means create new single path 2 or more open paths connecting endpoints. cannot "join" 2 paths anchorpoints other ends. is, in illustrator there no such thing "joining" 2 paths  in "t" fashion.   you can "union" or "add" fills of 2 or more paths using 1 of pathfinder features. doing creates new closed path "surrounds" areas of originals. may or may not result in compound path, depending upon arrangement of originals.   jet More discussions in Illustrator adobe

i've got large app designed flex 3.  project stalled , when resurrected upgraded flex 4.  of controls still mx controls occassional spark label needed word wrap.   due size of app, i'm wondering if should stick mx controls or convert possible spark controls?   this internal app , not have if skinning , should relatively change free, once inital bugs removed. the strange approach of releasing small subset of mx components spark library means stuck using both think kind of defeats purpose of skinning advantages flex 4's spark library touts. assuming more component conversions follow @ point, draws out transition , can make tough justify moving project over.   spark skinning , not else. if you're not going making use of biggest asset, mentioned, why bother? seems waste of time me. hello. i'm creating grid-pattern guide use overlay in final cut pro. used guide frame adjustments.   i'm having trouble maintaining correct aspect ratio. i've set illustrator project video, 1920 x 1080. when export it(as .psd) use in fcp project, image looks shorter in y-axis(not high enough). might fcp issue, i'm open suggestions @ moment. function(){return a.apply(null,[this].concat($a(arguments)))} this might fcp issue   open exported image in photoshop , verify has correct number of pixels vertically , horizontally, , verify has square pixels. if so, you've eliminated ai source of problem.   jet More discussions in Illustrator adobe

i have inherited .mxml fiel created in flex 3. have flash builder 4 , imported file new project. needed edit styles, more specificallysome text styles. once edited, saved, , compiled. replaced previous .sf file new 1 , upon loading within browser message appears.   [messagingerror message='destination 'coldfusion' either not exist or destination has no channels defined (and application not define default channels.)']   eventually player crashes , page has reloaded start errors on again. here woudl appreciated. bump bump More discussions in Flex (Read Only) adobe

have made dvd not play on dvd players. used 4:3 ratio if record in wide screen play or there problem home made dvds. home-burned dvds use chemical process rather imprinting data solid disc (as commercial dvds do) won't play on dvd players. players made in past 10 years or can play home-burneds.   as in books, there 2 ways increase odds discs work:   1) use quality disc brand, verbatim or tayo yuden. stay away cheaper brands, particularly memorex.   2) never record @ faster 4x, if discs rated recording @ faster speed.   and, of course, never stick label on dvd disc! hi, i happy join forum. hope of answer question.   i using captivate 4. not storing score onto lms.   i developing e-learning course of 30 slides. first 20 slides content slides. have 2 question slides 14th , 15th slides. don't want these 2 questions part of main quiz starts 21st onwards has 10 question slides. quiz result page has "retake quiz button" taking 14th slide dont want. retake quiz button should take me 21st slide only.(..and question slides in course showing "question x of 12". want show "question x of 10" only). because have used 2 question slides (14th , 15th) check user better understanding.   can me out.   thanks in advance.   regards, manoharan.a welcome forum,   each captivate file, if enable scoring report total score, in case score of 'pre' questions , of 'real' questions. same progress (which can disable).   since pretest has 2 slides, achieve goal without having create multiple files (pretest or final test separa...
